Program Overview

The Incorporated Village of Patchogue Community Development Agency (CDA) was established in 1980. It is Federally funded by the Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The basic purpose of the CDA is to help low to moderate income people. The Patchogue Village CDA is limited to helping those income eligible village residents.

The mission of the Village of Patchogue Community Development Agency is to provide a suitable living environment and viable community for all Village residents. Through the development of community improvement projects its hope is to provide safe, decent and sanitary housing conditions for very low-income families.

Please contact the CDA office and ask for the Executive Director Marian Russo. To qualify for any direct benefit programs, you must currently live within the Village of Patchogue. In addition, your total household income must not exceed certain levels. There are also other non-direct CDA sponsored programs, which everyone in the community derives some benefits.

Section 8

The Housing Choice Voucher Program is the federal government's major program for assisting very low-income families, elderly, and persons with disability to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private rental market through providing rental subsidy. The Village of Patchogue Community Development Agency administers the Section 8 HCV program in the Village of Patchogue. For more information please visit the HUD website.  The Patchogue CDA Section 8 waiting list is closed.

If you are a landlord interested in participating in the program please contact Carmen Maldonado, Section 8 Program Administrator.
